INSTANT JOY

This open call is free and open to creatives 18 years old and older. Submissions are only open to personal and self-initiated black and white photographs produced between August 2025 and August 2026. Both analogue and digital photographic work are eligible for this open call. AI-generated images are NOT eligible for this open call. You cannot submit AI-generated images, only original work created by creatives are allowed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Black + white photograph only

  • Original self-initiated and personal work only

  • Digital and analogue work accepted

  • Photographic work produced between August 2025 and August 2026.

  • Your file(s) must be 2000px width minimum

  • Your file(s) must be 300 Dpi

  • File naming convention:
    Name-Surname-Number.jpg

  • You can submit up to 3 photographs

DEADLINE

The deadline to submit your work is Monday 31st August at midnight.

WHO CAN APPLY

This open call is open to creatives aged 18 and older at any stage of their creative career; whether you are studying, freelancing alongside your 9 to 5, working in the creative industry, and everything in between.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT

Any work that is not photographic work (such as illustration, paintings, ect.) will not be considered for this publication. We do not accept AI-generated photographs, the work you submit must be original and produced by a human being using a camera (digital, analogue) or DIY techniques (such as cyanotypes). The work you submit must be your own. Please do not submit work produced as part of any commercial or commissioned projects as we do not want to infringe on any third party copyright.

SELECTED WORK 

You will be notified if your work has been selected to be published. Selected contributors will retain the copyright to their work and only grant permission to Concrete Nature LTD to publish and showcase the work selected in print and digital. While your contribution will not be financially remunerated, we will be using the details you have provided to promote your work within the publication itself and across our social media platforms, website and any other marketing endeavours. Selected contributors will receive one copy of the publication.
